The Garden Cottage
Located in McDonough, Georgia, just 22 miles south of Atlanta, Pro Studio at the Garden Cottage is a fully renovated 1899 farmhouse set amongst picturesque gardens and outdoor sets. Garden paths wind past waterfalls, fountains and statuary, leading to a mock country storefront and 1955-model pickup truck. Inside the cottage are a collection of antiques and vintage sets, while an inviting front porch welcomes you to relax in its shade.
Just behind the cottage, a two-story studio barn houses a collection of elaborate sets and vignettes, from a replica 24-foot front porch complete with antique white wicker furniture, to a well-appointed living room and library. A large collection of intricate backdrops and props is also on-hand, from an industrial warehouse look to a Manhattan loft to more traditional painted scenery. You’re sure to find a look that suits you perfectly.
About the Photographer
Ronnie Owings’ photographic career jumpstarted about 30 years ago, when the family of Robert Kennedy hired him to photograph family parties and events. Almost overnight, Ronnie leapt from amateur to professional status, embarking on a career highlighted by award-winning work in just about every photographic genre. Experience in fashion, travel and interiors photography not only refined his natural talent, but also improved his technical expertise.
His images have appeared in numerous national magazines, including Better Homes and Gardens, Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles, Arts and Antiques, Country Inns and Elegant Bride, and in three coffee table books: Cottage Style, Amish Cookbook, and Sanctuary of the Soul. Ronnie’s award-winning images have been exhibited overseas by as part of Professional Photographers of America’s Traveling Loan Collection, and several of his children’s portraits were displayed at Disney's Epcot Center.
Ronnie holds a degree in child and family development, which, combined with his reassuring demeanor and the welcoming spirit of The Garden Cottage, encourages natural, honest portraits.
