Be on Time
We have set aside an ample amount of time to photograph your senior session. If you are running late, it will affect the number of outfits and backgrounds changes we are able to photograph. Please get here 10 minutes early to check in and get settled before we start in the camera room.

Getting the Most out of Your Session
Clothing: We recommend that you choose several outfits, both dressy and casual. Remember, just because we are photographing you during a particular season, you may still wear your favorite wardrobe items from the other nine months. Whatever you bring, be sure you like it. Sleeveless blouses can be a problem for girls, as your bra strap may show and your arms may look larger. Tan lines cannot be hidden, they will also show. Avoid loud prints or clothing that has words printed on the front, as they rarely look good in pictures. Good colors for photography are those which match your eyes. White can look harsh in the bright lights. Black is dramatic and makes you look thinner. Your worn jeans and tattered T-Shirts can work fine. We want to capture your personality. Variety is the key. You want to be able to give something special, not only to your friends, but family as well. Don’t bother with shoes, they will not show. BRING TWICE AS MANY OUTFITS AS YOU THINK YOU MIGHT NEED. LET OUR PROFESSIONALS MATCH THEM UP TO THE BACKGROUNDS.

REFLECTIONS ON GLASSES can be a problem, especially outdoors. If you can’t live with the reflections, they can be removed with artwork for $26 per pose.

HAIRCUTS for guys just prior to the photo shoot are not recommended. Get your hair trimmed a week or so before the session. For girls, we do not recommend a new hairstyle, unless you are very sure you’ll like it. The number one reason girls do not like their pictures is because of their hair. Don’t experiment before your senior pictures.

Props: Anything that will personalize your picture, will make for a more exciting session. Make sure you bring your favorite hat, musical instrument, sunglasses, sports or hobby equipment, letter jackets, cheerleading uniform, or anything you can think of to show off your personality. Just use your imagination…that makes us use ours. A friend, family member, or pet can be added to the photograph for $20.

Make-up: Most high schoolers go for the natural look and normally don’t wear make-up. However, to avoid that “washed out” look, make-up will enhance your finished photographs. Use foundation to cover up blemishes and soften bags under the eyes. Mascara and eye liner on the outer edge of your eyes will make them look bigger. A soft pink lip stick and blush will give you more of a three-dimensional look.

Background Choices

Traditional head & shoulder yearbook-style pose. Even when it is done by the school photographer, most still want a better quality image hanging on their wall.
What to Wear: We will provide the tux for boys and drape for girls.

Warehouse: This naturalistic brick and stucco wall is accessorized with rusty tin pieces and heavy wood beams.
What to Wear: You can create a super-contemporary look with either high-fashion or casual clothing (the darker the better, if you want a touch of drama).

Parlor: This elegant setting is clustered around an antique pine cupboard, accessorized with grandma’s collectibles.
What to Wear: Light-colored formals and “Sunday best” are great here; dark-toned velvets or silks can add dramatic impact.

Barn: A south Georgia barn front was actually torn down and recreated in the studio for this textured background.
What to Wear: Denims, earth tones, your favorite chunky sweater or worn-and–torn jeans, perhaps a leather jacket. You can go country or high fashion.

Canvas: Pro Studio commissions artists to paint scenic landscape backdrops that are perfect for a classic look.
What to Wear: Winter clothing is perfect for our “Winter Wonderland” snowy background – while bolder more casual clothing will work for our “Abercrombie & Fitch” abstract.

Porch: Looking like it’s really outdoors; this 24-foot set has white wicker furniture, window boxes, and wisteria latticework. Truly Southern.
What to Wear: Think light (white, khakis, pastels); summery tops and dresses, even jeans and a tee will nicely match the mood.

Library: This set is dark and rich – splendid for an elegant portrait.
What to Wear: Darker clothing, semi-formal, party or prom wear look wonderful here – but so does the casual feel of a sweater or tweed jacket.

Muslin: We have a number of these hanging cloth backdrops, all hand-painted by talented artists, for artful effects.
What to Wear: Anything will go with a muslin background, even a sports or cheerleading uniform, but it’s best if you don’t mix darks and lights and if you avoid busy patterns.

Outdoor Session. You can choose from the Country Store, Pond or Gardens, or with your own vehicle. Only available May through October.
What to Wear: Casual is perfect here: Dark or light hues can be worn, depending on the exact setting and seasonal look; avoid busy patterns or logos.

ADD-ONS

Make-Up Artist $75 extra. Your make-up will be done specifically for photography to give you that flawless look. Hair adjustments are done with each change of clothes. Only available on certain days (usually Mondays). What to do: For a Make-up session, you will be scheduled with another senior at the same time. This allows the other person to be photographed while you change clothes and get your hair done. For the most fun, book your time along with your best friend. NOTE: For best results, hair should be clean and dry without any hair products. Come without any make-up on. For girls with long / thick hair, wanting extremely curly hair, please come with your hair “hot curled”. This will help the curls last through all the hair changes.

Loved Ones $20 per add-on Friends, Siblings or Pets are all special at Pro Studio. Any of these groupings can be added to your session.

Retouching – No Charge Your basic package will automatically be retouched: facial lines softened and blemishes removed. For $45, even braces can be removed.

Free Family Portrait Every Senior placing an order will get a FREE Family session and 8x10 Portrait, as our graduation gift to you.
